A WILD night turned deadly at a Kwekwe nightclub when a fiery argument over a girlfriend spiralled into a brutal stabbing — leaving one man dead on the spot and another fighting for his life.
According to police, the chilling incident unfolded on 5 April 2025, when Masauso Phiri got into a heated confrontation with two unidentified suspects over a woman.
Tempers flared, and in a flash, Phiri was stabbed twice in the chest — collapsing in a pool of blood before he could be saved.
But the rampage didn’t end there.
As Blissful Macheke tried to break up the fight, he too was stabbed in the chest, becoming collateral damage in the love-fuelled chaos.
The suspects fled the scene, vanishing into the night — leaving behind screams, blood, and heartbreak.
Police in Kwekwe have launched a manhunt for the two suspects and are calling on the public to assist.
“Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects is urged to report to the nearest police station,” said the police statement.
