BN Academy to hold holiday soccer clinics

later this month for the eight-to-18-years age group.
Director of the BN academy Bheki Nyoni said the clinic was not only reserved for schoolboys.
The clinics, which are being run in phases, will start from April 26 to April 29 and then take a short break before resuming on May 2 and ending on May 6.
“This is an annual event where we try and improve the technical and skill aspect of these youngsters.
“We shall be holding a tournament on the last day of the clinic (BN Academy Invitational Tournament) for ten U-18 teams and ten U-16 teams as a way of closing the clinic,”
“The outstanding players during the tournament will be awarded soccer balls to improve their skills.
“We also recommend those who distinguish themselves to scouts from Europe,” said Nyoni.
The academy produced Elijah Soko who is now in the United States of America on a full scholarship.
Last week, Soko joined Seacoastal F.C of United States.
Last year Musa Kolombo, one of the products of the clinics, made it into the VW team, which went to Spain.
Biggie Zuze, who is a holder of a Level Four Certificate and CAF C license, will conduct the clinics and will be assisted Antony Vheriwa.
Tongai Matara, who worked as part of the backroom staff in the Monomotapa coaching department, and former CAPS United defender Steve Chikodzi are part of the coaching crew that will conduct the clinics.
