Bosso ask for patience

HIGHLANDERS have called for patience while they restructure their technical staff.

Bosso announced the return of club legend Madinda Ndlovu as first-team assistant coach and director of junior development on Tuesday.

The club’s former utility player, Abraham Mbaiwa, was brought back into the fold as fitness trainer.

Current assistant coaches, Antonio Torres and Joel Luphahla, do not have the requisite coaching badges to sit in the dugout.

It is believed that the club will give Luphahla and Torres new roles which will enable them to be on the technical bench on match days.

Reports say Luphahla will replace Vezigama Dlodlo as welfare manager, while Torres would be registered in another role.

Torres is a qualified fitness trainer.

Bosso do not have the easiest of games for their opening encounters in this year’s campaign.

They face ZPC Kariba on the opening day of the Premiership, followed by an away trip to Black Rhinos.

They square off against FC Platinum on match day three at Barbourfields before locking horns with Chicken Inn in a local derby.

Their biggest match comes on match day five when they host arch-rivals Dynamos.

But the club is not in panic mode for restructuring the technical department two weeks before the season starts.

“We urge our fans to be patient with us while we finalise our technical staff.

“We shall announce it before we start the 2023 season.

“Our squad for the season will also be announced in due course,” said Highlanders’ communications officer, Nozibelo Maphosa.
