WHOaS the Boss?
BULAWAYO football giants Highlanders seem to have the most lethal strike force in the elite football league scoring 19 goals in their first 10 games of the tightly contested 2016 season.
In the process Bosso have amassed 23 points and they sit on top of the table, two points ahead of equally red-hot Caps United and ZPC Kariba.
Dutchman Erol Akbayas philosophy seems to be working judging by the results and statistics so far.
In the past weekend, Bosso beat How Mine 2-0 before they went on to beat visiting Border Strikers with an identical score-line in a midweek encounter where national team utility player Bruce Kangwa (ABOVE) took his tally to six courtesy of his Wednesday brace.
Kangwa together with Knox Mutizwa and Prince Dube have an impressive 14 goals between them and are all jointly leading the goal scoring charts in the league.
a?I would like to thank the Almighty for the blessings that he has been giving me. I say Glory to God. Special mention also goes to my teammates, friends and family members. I say thank you for the support you have been giving me. I hope goals will continue to come my way and for the team. Itas not all about me but Highlanders,a? said Kangwa soon after their game against Border Strikers.
In the past three seasons, Kangwa narrowly missed on making it into the Soccer Stars calendar despite his breathtaking goal artistry, wizardry and ability to score crucial goals. His teammates a Mutizwa and Dube are tied on four goals with former FC Platinum striker Obrey Chirwa who has joined Young African Sports Club (Yanga).
