HIGHLANDERS has begun the search for a new Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Brian Moyo, who stepped down amid allegations of fraud.

The club officially announced the vacancy on Monday, inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

According to the club’s notice, the incoming CEO will report directly to the Executive Committee and is expected to spearhead the club’s strategic and operational direction.

To be considered for the post, applicants must possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree, which is a minimum requirement. A Master’s degree or higher qualification is considered an added advantage. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in sports administration, particularly in football management, as well as a deep understanding of football governance, including FIFA Club Licensing frameworks.

A strong institutional background, preferably within Highlanders FC, will give candidates an edge.
The club is also looking for a leader with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key football stakeholders such as the Premier Soccer League (PSL), the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), and corporate sponsors.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts, a certified copy of a national ID or passport, and a detailed CV. All applications should be addressed to the Executive Chairman of Highlanders Football Club and sent either by post to P.O. Box 396, Bulawayo, hand-delivered to the club offices at 50 Robert Mugabe Way, or emailed to [email protected] or [email protected].

The application window opened on May 19, 2025, and will close on May 26, 2025. The club has emphasized that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
