BOSSO BOMBSHELL!Dumisani Sandi bounces back as club president

HIGHLANDERS Football Club has dropped a major surprise—former board chairperson Dumisani Sandi is back in the thick of things, this time as the new club president, stepping into the big shoes left by the late Ndumiso Gumede, who passed away in December 2021.

The Thursday morning announcement by the club sent shockwaves through the Bosso faithful, though most of the leadership team remains untouched.
“Highlanders Football Club is pleased to announce the following leadership appointments as resolved by the board of trustees and board of directors at their meeting on Wednesday April 16,” the club said in a statement.

Despite the talk of “appointments,” Sandi is the only fresh face in the leadership structure. The rest of the top brass—board chairperson Luke Mnkandla, vice chairperson Cosmos Sikhosana, board secretary Mathew Sibindi, and club patron Jimmy Ncube—have all retained their positions.
Sandi’s return marks a potentially bold new chapter for the Bulawayo giants. Will he carry the Bosso torch as fearlessly as Gumede did? Only time will tell… but the drums are already beating in anticipation!
