Bosso coaches call for patience

Raymond Jaravaza .
THE Highlanders FC coaching staff has called on supporters to keep calm because the club is building a team for the future.
The supportersa anger has since turned into hooliganism when the team does not get its way. Even a draw has become unacceptable as in the 1-1 draw with Chicken Inn that added fuel to a wave of violence that rocked Barbourfields Stadium last Sunday.

a?We have situations where we field Prince Dube (18), Bukhosi Ncube (18), Adrian Silla (20), Peter Muduhwa (22) and Godfrey Makaruse (20); these players really do not have Premier League experience but as a technical team we are doing our best to work with the boys and get results,a? said the teamas technical director Cosmas Zulu.

Zulu said the team was making do with what they have since there was no money to buy seasoned players.

a?The chairman (Peter Dube) announced before the start of the season that the team does not have money to buy players but at Highlanders we are always expected to win the championship and trophies but we ask the supporters to be patient with the team,a? said Zulu.

Bosso also have young players Thembinkosi Mthunzi (19), McCarthy Dube (18) and King Nadolo (21) in their books.

But there is hope for the team if the players are given time.

a?The good thing about the current squad is that they are quick learners and have adapted the philosophy of a new coach in a space of seven months to win the ZNA Cup and keep up with the top teams on the log standings,a? said Zulu.

Bosso beat Harare City FC 4-2 on penalties to win the ZNA Charities Shield in July and are sitting on third position with 32 points from 19 matches.

The team trails log leaders FC Platinum by five points.
