THE Highlanders duo of Prince Ndlovu and Mvelo Khoza made it into the Zimbabwe Under-20 squad for the 2025 TotalEnergies Caf Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations Cosafa qualifiers.
The qualifiers will be held in Maputo, Mozambique, from September 26 to October 5.
Zifa announced a 26-member squad for the regional tournament yesterday, revealing that Ndlovu and Khoza would join Hwange’s Quinton Longwe, Attitude Munsaka, and Onesimo Hlabano, Chicken Inn’s Alpha Chiwashira and Dynamos’ Elton Chikona in the team.

Group A games will start on September 26, with the Young Warriors facing Botswana in their first clash at noon.
After their game against Botswana, the Young Warriors will face off against Eswatini on September 28 at the ABB Stadium 1 before rounding up their group encounters with a clash against hosts Mozambique.
Meanwhile, Madagascar has withdrawn from the competition, leaving only three teams in Group B. Group C is made up of eight-time winners South Africa, Malawi, Comoros and Lesotho.
The top team in each group and the best-placed runner-up across the three groups will advance to the semi-finals on October 3.

The final will be held on October 5 and there will be no third-place play-off.
The two finalists will automatically qualify for the TotalEnergies Caf Under-20 Afcon finals set for next year.
Zimbabwe have won three of the Cosafa Under-20 competitions and the squad will be hoping to secure a spot in the semi-finals by topping their group.
