HIGHLANDERS duo of Andrew Mbeba and Kudakwashe Mahachi on Thursday appealed to their club fans to consider thronging Barbourfields Stadium in their numbers to witness their Week Seven Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) match against ZPC Kariba to be played on Sunday.
Bosso, who are on a rebuilding exercise under head coach Benjani Mwaruwari, his assistants Mkhokheli Dube and Bekithemba Ndlovu, are yet to post a win in six starts.
Despite displaying a breath-taking flair of football, Bosso have posted six draws.
“To all Highlanders fans, we urge you to come in your numbers and support us when we play ZPC Kariba. We promise that we will finally get it right this time around. We will not disappoint you,” said Mahachi, a veteran of many football battles who seem to be slowly discovering his form and winning the hearts of Bosso fans.
Mbeba, a versatile player and club captain, echoed Mahachi’s sentiments saying: “Highlanders fans have been amazing. Come in your numbers, you can see we are moving in a good direction. The win will certainly come,” said Mbeba.
Last weekend, Mbeba was honoured for earning 150 caps for the Bulawayo football giants.-@FungaiMuderere
