AN interactive social gathering between Highlanders’ players and fans is set for the clubhouse this afternoon ahead of the club’s extraordinary general meeting to be held at the same venue tomorrow. Bona fide Bosso members and supporters will be afforded a chance to engage their heroes and technical team during a fundraising drive intended to create a bond between the players and fans.

“We’ll have a meet the team event on Saturday(today) at our Club House. This will afford our members and supporters an opportunity to meet the players and members of the technical team. The function will start at 2PM and braai packs will be sold at $5. A member or supporter will be allowed to buy a braai pack and pick either a player or member of the technical team to braai with,” said Bosso chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede.

Tomorrow, the club will have its mid-season annual general meeting where chairman Peter Dube and newly appointed treasurer Donald Ndebele will present reports.

Highlanders have seen crowds dwindling at home matches, something that is threatening the club’s coffers resulting in them struggling to pay players’ bonuses on time or smoothly run day-to-day operations.

It is at this meeting where the club’s members are expected to deliberate on how best to save Bosso from sinking deeper into financial morass.

The other highlight of tomorrow’s meeting would be the team’s performance.
