HIGHLANDERS Football Club is in the process of engaging former Bosso players as international ambassadors in a move meant to promote their 90th anniversary celebration, with Peter Ndlovu being the automatic choice.

Peter is based in South Africa where he is the team manager for Absa Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns.

According to Luke Mnkandla, who chairs the clubas marketing sub-committee of Bosso@90, while the legendary Peter fondly known as Nsukuzonke, was an automatic choice the club could consider roping in his brother Madinda Ndlovu and former Warriors skipper Benjani Mwaruwari a who played for the teamas juniors.

a?We have identified some people that we can engage as our ambassadors with Peter Ndlovu being the automatic choice because of the Highlanders blood in him. We will be holding a meeting with the executive to discuss this initiative,a? said Mnkandla.

a?Names such as Madinda Ndlovu and Benjani Mwaruwari will also be greatly considered. These are also former Highlanders esteemed players who are based outside the country,a? he said.

Madinda, better known as Khathazile, is the coach of Botswana topflight league side Orapa United.

Mwaruwari, named the Undertaker during his playing days reportedly shuttles between South Africa and the United Kingdom where he is reportedly pursuing private interests.

Mwaruwari once played for Bossoas junior and reserve sides while he was still trying to carve a name.

Peter and Madinda belong to the famous Ndlovu brothersa family that had the late Adam a?Adamskia? Ndlovu.

The trio had a great Bosso partnership that spiced up the game even when they were in national team colours.

Peter played professionally as a striker from 1988 until 2011. He played for Highlanders in Zimbabwe, for Coventry City in the English Premier League and in the lower rung for Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United.

In South Africa he played for Mamelodi Sundowns and Thanda Royal Zulu, and Highfield United and Black Mambas back home.

He was capped 100 times by Zimbabwe, scoring 38 international goals. .
