The package, announced by Chivayo on social media, includes an initial US$250 000 in cash, with the remainder to be disbursed over the coming year. It is dedicated to the memory of the late Vice-President John Landa Nkomo, a lifelong Highlanders supporter and Chivayo’s uncle.

In a statement, Highlanders said they are grateful for the donation which will positively impact the club.

“This remarkable contribution will significantly enhance our ability to positively change the trajectory of the club.
