BOTSWANAas Township Rollers Queens coach, Ronaldoh Nkutlwisang has commended Zimbabwe womenas football for its physical approach and devotion to the game.
Township Rollers Queens lost 4-0 againstA Black Rhinos in the LM Auctioneers tournament final that ended last Sunday at Hartsfield stadium and it was a lesson learnt for the side.
a?Teams in this country like power play unlike us who emphasise on the skill of a player. That is why they have an advantage over us,a? said Nkutliswang.
She added that although the style of football for both countries had a bit of differences, it was the determination that teams in this country have which saw Rhinos getting the better of them.
a?Girls here play with their hearts, perhaps that is why they beat us. My team was demoralised in the first half of the game when Rhinos netted their opener,a? she said.
However, the visitors were not really sore losers as they grabbed the second spot out of seven teams that participated in the tournament. They were handed a prize money of $1A 500 which was accompanied by 25 silver medals while one of their players, Bame Ngenda was voted player of the tournament.
a?I am happy we got to the finals and we are going to take everything we learnt here back home,a? Nkutlwisang added.
The tournament which was operating under the theme a?Step It Up for Gender Equalitya? was also graced by Mighty Warriors gaffer Shadreck Mlauzi.
