Boy (16) arrested at Nust after breaking in, ‘looking for something to steal’

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy into the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) premises situated in the city centre in Bulawayo intending to steal property.

The boy who cannot be named because he is a juvenile, committed the offence on 8 November around 10 am.

Upon arrival, he proceeded to Rose Flats’ second-floor corridor and was apprehended by a guard who was on duty after he was identified as an intruder.

Bulawayo magistrate Ms Nomagugu Maphosa convicted him of unlawful entry and remanded him out of custody as he is a juvenile.
He is set to appear on 13 November for sentencing
