Makokoba teen housebreaker convicted of theft

A 19-YEAR-OLD man was yesterday arraigned after he broke into a house in Makokoba and stole US$1 820.

Amos Ncube from Makokoba suburb was yesterday convicted of theft by Bulawayo magistrate Ms Nomagugu Maphosa.

Ncube was remanded in custody to 13 November for sentencing.

The prosecutor, Ms Hazel Siphiwe Sithole said Ncube committed the offence in the early hours of 30 September.
He broke into Ms Chipo Makotamo’s home through an unlocked door and stole US$1 820.

The court heard that the victim has not recovered her money.
