A 20-YEAR-OLD Gwanda man has been remanded in custody for allegedly sodomising his neighbour’s four-year-old son.
Bukhosi Dube of Buvuma area under Chief Marupi appeared before regional magistrate Joseph Mabeza facing charges of aggravated indecent assault. He denied the charges but was remanded in custody to October 15 for judgment. The state, represented by Mncedisi Dube, narrated how Dube allegedly sexually abused the minor in July this year.
“Sometime in the month of July 2014, the complainant went to the accused’s homestead to play with his friends. The accused person took the complainant to his bedroom. While inside the bedroom, the accused person removed the complainant’s trousers and instructed him to lie down on the bed on his stomach,” the court heard.
The child complied and thereafter Dube allegedly committed the crime.
The matter came to light when the boy narrated his ordeal to his mother who then made a report to the police. Dube is represented by McAllister Ncube.
