BOYCE Malunga has decribed Archieford Chimutanda as one of the best talents to emerge out of this country, but?
Malunga recalls one time he lost his new set of boots that were white in colour. Those days other colours than black attracted attention.
“I was probably the first player to put on tiger brand boots in the league,” said Malunga.
He said one time while on national duty in 1983 in Mozambique he lost a pair of boots only to see a colleague in the next Monday Herald putting on the same.
“We were with the senior national team in Mozambique. I happened to have done my shopping for my wife Vina and kid. I had also bought myself a pair of white boots and put them at the top of the stuff,” said Malunga.
He said he was shocked to open the luggage and find his boots no longer there.
A further surprise at home (Zimbabwe) awaited him.
“I was shocked to watch on television Chimutanda putting on the same type and colour of boots in the newspapers,” said Malunga from his UK based.
“That was it, my football boots I never had time to wear them,” said Malunga.
