BPA Awards venue set

THE BULAWAYO Pool Association will hold their annual prize giving ceremony on December 13 at Raylton Sports Club. Charles Wadawu, a BPA spokesman said the organisation has received support from partners who have donated towards the event. Charles Murambiwa who is Kings vice chairman and the manager of Early Ashes Enterprises provided 30 gold, 30 silver and 30 bronze medals for the Premier League.

BPA chairman Godfrey Kondo has sponsored part of the Division One League’s medals and all the individual awards.

His deputy Liberty Mcijo, through Mcijo, Dube and Partners law firm are among the sponsors.

Wadawu said there will be awards for the top three Pool Masters and top three Pool Mistresses and well managed teams in the Premier, Division One A and Division One leagues.

Outstanding players will be honoured in the three leagues and two best Pool Writers of the Year will be honoured as well.

Meanwhile, in the Peter Dziko Exchange pool tournament held at Palace Hotel over the weekend, Ashton Moyo from Entumbane was crowned the champion, Kings’ Geshem Nash came second and Philip Mbofana third.

In the women’s category Shylet Musona settled in well at Exchange’s new home ground by winning the ladies event while Golden girls’ Flatta Moyo came second.

Wadawu said it was an exciting tournament and congratulated the winners .

“It was an interesting way to end the season, everyone had fun and congratulations to everyone who won,” he said.
