IN a dramatic twist, just hours before one of the most anticipated fights of the year, Zimbabwe’s Elvis “Bomber” Moyo has been stripped of his EFC Heavyweight Championship title after failing to make weight for his clash against the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Matunga “Triple H” Djikasa.

The title fight, scheduled for Thursday night, will now go ahead as a vacant title bout but only Djikasa will be eligible to claim the gold.

Moyo, a seasoned veteran of the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC), tipped the scales at just over the 265-pound heavyweight limit, missing weight by approximately 800 grams.

Despite the narrow margin, EFC officials confirmed that regulations must be upheld, leading to the immediate forfeiture of his title.
