THULANI Mhlanga (40), has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of Yvonne Mitchell Mafuta, a 34-year-old hairdresser from Mutare, who was killed in cold blood in January last year.
Justice Isaac Muzenda delivered the sentence at Mutare High Court this afternoon.
The State was represented by Prosecutor Marlven Musarurwa.
Mhlanga, of no fixed abode, was arrested five months ago at Matondo Business Centre in Chigodora, under Chief Zimunya.
He was apprehended by a team of detectives from the Mutare Homicide Department, who had received a tip-off via NetOne that Mhlanga was frequenting the business centre.
