PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has appointed an eleven-member board to run the affairs of the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz).
The appointments were made in line with the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Act.
Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Tatenda Mavetera made the announcement in a press briefing at the Ministry’s Headquarters on Monday where she was accompanied by her deputy Dingumuzi Phuti and ICT permanent Secretary Dr Beulah Chirume.

Also present was Potraz director general Dr Gift Machengete, Potraz deputy director general Mr Alfred Marisa, ICT Ministry senior management and stakeholders.
The board members number is a rise from the previous seven members which was a rise from four members.
Such development has been necessitated by the ever growing and advancement of the technological sector.
The board will be chaired by Professor Sam Takavarasha Jnr who will be deputised by Ms Barbara Mukahanana while the Ministry Technnical representative is Mr Prince Sibanda.
Other board members are Ms Tofara Audrey Nyoni, Miss Michelle Madyira, Adv Sebastian Masimba Guwuriro, Dr Siyakha Njabuliso Mthunzi, Dr Miriam Mugwati, Mr Caos Nzenze, Dr Maneta Linnys Dzauma and Dr Prince Mushaninga.
The former board was led by chairman Advocate Tawanda Zvobgo who passed away in December 2025. Other board members included Prof. C. Chigwedere, Mrs. B. Mukahanana and Mr. S. Chakamba.
