BREAKING: Smuggled bales burnt to ashes in Vumba

A SEVEN-tonne truck carrying second-hand clothes smuggled from Mozambique into the country was set ablaze this morning at Burma Valley-Vumba Turn Off.
The driver, whose identity remains unknown, escaped unharmed around 5am, leaving behind the charred remains of the truck and its contraband cargo.
The burnt-out truck wreckage is currently blocking the road at Vumba Turn Off in Bvumba Valley, causing difficulties for passing vehicles.
Police authorities have taken control of the scene.
