The commander of 3 Infantry Brigade-Brigadier General Eliah Bandama has died. He was 56. Brigadier General Bandama died yesterday morning at West End Hospital in Harare.
Director of Zimbabwe National Army Public Relations Lieutenant Colonel Alphios Makotore confirmed Brig -Gen Bandama’s death in a statement.
“The Defence Headquarters regrets to announce the untimely death of Brigadier-General Eliah Bandama, the Commander of 3 Infantry Brigade,” he said.
“Brigadier General Bandama passed on this morning at West End Hospital in Harare. A funeral parade for the late brigadier-general will be held at Headquarters 3 Infantry Brigade, Chikanga Barracks in Mutare on Saturday July 12, 2014 at 1400hrs.”
Lt Col Makotore said burial arrangements would be announced in due course.
Brig Gen Bandama is survived by his wife Florence and four children.
