British Ambassador pays courtesy call on Minister Kazembe

British Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Pete Vowles paid a courtesy call on Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister

Kazembe Kazembe at his offices this morning.

During their meeting, they discussed various issues, including cooperation in immigration and the repatriation of human

remains that were taken abroad during the colonial era.

Addressing journalists after their closed-door meeting, Minister Kazembe Kazembe said: “He paid a courtesy call so that we

could discuss areas of potential cooperation. We spoke about several issues and agreed that we could cooperate in immigration

issues. We are working very well.”

Ambassador Vowles said: “It was a great pleasure to meet the Honourable Minister. We had the opportunity to talk about a

range of issues that affect the UK-Zimbabwe relationship. Above all, we wanted to talk about how as the UK and the

Government of Zimbabwe we are trying to improve our relationship, to work as genuine partners across a range of things.”
