AN argument over a tenant ended with blood flowing and a Bulawayo man heading straight to prison after he turned a family dispute into a brutal assault.
Shadrick Ticharambana (42) of Pelandaba will spend the next six months behind bars after attacking his younger brother with a machete, a screwdriver and a stone during a violent confrontation.
Ticharambana appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Mr Jeconia Prince Ncube, who convicted him of physical abuse.
He was sentenced to nine months in prison.
Three months were suspended for three years on condition that he does not commit a similar offence, leaving him with an effective six-month jail term.

The court heard that on 13 April 2026 at around 7.30PM, tempers flared at the family home when Ticharambana accused his younger brother, Misheck Ticharambana (40), of harassing a tenant.
Instead of settling the matter with words, the accused reached for weapons.
Prosecutor Ms Cathrine Kuzu told the court that the enraged brother armed himself with a machete and struck Misheck once on the forehead.
He used a screwdriver to poke his brother in the mouth before picking up a stone and striking him on the left leg.
The vicious attack left the complainant injured and in need of medical treatment.
A police report was subsequently made, leading to Shadrick’s arrest.
Misheck was referred to hospital for treatment while his older brother found himself facing the long arm of the law.
