Bulawayo Arts Awards tease ninth edition

THE countdown to one of Zimbabwe’s premier arts celebrations has officially begun, with the organisers of the Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) announcing that preparations are underway for the ninth edition of the annual awards ceremony.

In a brief announcement shared with arts stakeholders and the public on social media, the organisers urged creatives and supporters of the arts to get ready for another celebration of talent, innovation and artistic excellence.

Although the date, venue and nomination details are yet to be revealed, the announcement has already generated anticipation within the city’s vibrant creative sector, where the awards have become a key platform for recognising outstanding achievements across various artistic disciplines.

“The 9th Edition of the Bulawayo Arts Awards is coming soon. Get ready to celebrate creativity, excellence, and the arts. Stay tuned,” read the statement.

Since its inception, the BAAs have honoured individuals and organisations making significant contributions to the growth of the arts in Bulawayo and beyond, while providing a platform that celebrates excellence and inspires emerging talent.
