Bulawayo Chess Club dominates chess league

Bulawayo Chess Club (BCC) continued to rule the roost on day four of the Bulawayo Chess League played at Bulawayo Polytechnic on Saturday.
BCC masterminds dominated all their encounters. They won their games against Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional services (ZPCS) and ZRP Bulawayo.
ZPCS was thrashed 6-0 while ZRP Bulawayo A side was beaten 4-1 with their second string side ZRP B team losing 5-1.
BCC have now collected 39 game points with only one defeat.

Bulawayo Polytechnic are second on 29 points while Nust A is third with 28,5points.
Veteran player Thabang Moyo is leading on board one for BCC while Ntokozo Moyo was on second, Moses Mutipforo third, Joe Sibanda fourth, Russell Dzute fifth and Brighton Duburo sixth .

Bulawayo Chess Association spokesperson Dzute said he is happy the league is progressing smoothly.
“We are glad that the league is running smoothly, the teams have been very competitive and there have been signs of improvement since the league started.

“BCC and Nust are on fire as well as Bulawayo Polytechnic so it will be interesting in the next round as all three teams are still in the title race,” he said.
