Bulawayo hotel donates to Ingutsheni Hospital

Chronicle Reporter
INGUTSHENI Central Hospital in Bulawayo recently received a donation of linen worth $6 500 from Cresta Churchill Hotel.
The donated goods were towels and pillows.
Presenting the donation, Cresta Hospitality group operations manager Mr Bill Bruce said the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

Mr Bruce said it was not the first time for the hotel group to donate to the hospital.

“Today we are back with a donation of linen valued at $6 500, it is our hope that this will be useful in the care and rehabilitation of your patients,’’ said Mr Bruce.

Speaking at the same occasion, the board chairman of the hospital, Mr Thaba Moyo, the former mayor of Bulawayo, said the donation came at a time when the hospital was facing a serious shortage of linen.

“This donation has come as a pleasant surprise because as an institution our objective is to make patients feel at home away from home, and this donation will go a long way in ensuring that our patients are adequately provided for,’’ said Mr Moyo.
