A Bulawayo man on Monday night lost his Toyota Hilux to four unknown accused persons while awaiting his order at a fast-food outlet situated in Bradfield suburb.

One of the accused persons was brandishing a pistol, which he pointed at the terrified man, who was with his wife and a friend.

According to the Criminal Investigations Department national spokesperson, Detective Inspector Rachel Muteweri, the accused persons then ordered the trio to disembark from the vehicle.

“On 22 December 2025 and at around 10PM, four unknown accused persons approached the complainant who was seated in a Toyota Hilux in the company of his wife and a friend. One of the accused persons produced a pistol before threatening the victims. They ordered the victims to disembark from the vehicle before taking charge of the vehicle,” said Det Insp Muteweri.

She said the quartet then drove away, leaving the victims at the crime scene.

“The complainants later filed a police report and we are now on the trail of the accused persons,” said Det Insp Muteweri.
