Bulawayo pays last respect to Rahman Gumbo’s widow

THE memorial service of Rahman Gumbo’s late widow Virginia Sibanda has commenced at the Brethren in Christ Church (BICC) Bulawayo City Centre branch, ahead of burial today at Umvutshwa Cemetery.

Ms Sibanda passed on Sunday at United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) after a long battle with cancer.

Her death came barely two years after Gumbo died in Botswana in November 2023.

A few weeks before her death, the Sibanda family had made a plea for donations and assistance to pay mounting hospital bills following surgery that cost US$15 000.
