BULAWAYO will host the National Premier Volleyball League matches at Hillside Teachers’ College this weekend, with clubs intensifying preparations ahead of the crucial fixtures.

As part of their build-up, Southern Aces of Masvingo and Chimoio Ladies played a friendly match at the Bulawayo Athletics Club on Thursday.

The encounter provided both teams with an opportunity to fine-tune combinations and assess their readiness as they seek to improve their positions on the league standings.

The weekend fixtures are expected to attract some of the country’s top volleyball talent as clubs battle for valuable points in the race for league honours.

Zimbabwean volleyball continues to enjoy growing momentum, with local clubs performing competitively and the national teams making notable progress on the regional stage.

The men’s national team is also preparing for the final qualification campaign for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, a development that reflects the steady growth of the sport and the increasing competitiveness of Zimbabwean volleyball on the international stage.
