Bulawayo, get ready to lace up!

The highly-anticipated Byo Sneaker Expo is just around the corner, and we have got the scoop on what is going down!

On 23 November, the Bulawayo ZITF Pavillion will transform into a sneaker paradise, showcasing the hottest kicks from top brands like Nike, Adidas, Converse, and Vans.

Sneaker heads will rejoice at the opportunity to cop limited edition releases, including the coveted Yeezy Boost 350s and a wider range in Nike and other famous sneaker brands.

Off-White x Nike designs, crafted by Virgil Abloh, will also make an appearance.

But it’s not just about international brands. The Bulawayo Sneaker Expo will proudly highlight local sneaker culture, featuring customised kicks from talented local designers.

Attendees can also get their kicks personalised on the spot at sneaker customisation stations.

They will meet the enthusiasts behind Zimbabwe’s most impressive sneaker collections and marvel at their prized possessions.

“The Bulawayo Sneaker Expo is more than just an event — it’s a movement. It’s about celebrating sneaker culture, self-expression, and community.

“We are bringing together enthusiasts, collectors, and creatives to showcase the beauty and diversity of sneakers. Get ready for a game-changing experience,” said King of Kicks Davison ‘Diva’ Feliate, Organiser of the Byo Sneaker Expo.
Past visitors to the expo can’t stop raving about the experiences.

“I scored a limited edition Yeezy Boost 350 V2 last year, and it’s still one of my prized possessions,” exclaimed Mqondisi Tshabalala, a 2023 Bulawayo Sneaker Expo Attendee.

“The customisation stations were insane. I got my Air Force Ones personalised with Zimbabwean flag colours,” said Rumbidzai Nyoni who attended the 2022 Expo.

“The energy was electric. Meeting fellow sneaker heads and seeing the unique collections was truly inspiring,” revealed Craig Mathonsi, another past Bulawayo Sneaker Expo.

“The expo has become a staple in Zimbabwe’s sneaker culture. It’s a must-attend for any serious sneaker enthusiast,” said Isaac Ncube, a local sneaker collector.

This year’s expo promises an immersive experience, with over 10 exhibitors, live DJ sets, sneaker-themed art installations, food and drink vendors as well as give-aways and competitions.
