Ncube who was on fire at the beginning of last season but gradually faded out of the picture as the competition intensified.
It was Royal Harare’s Badenhoist who maintained consistency until the end of the season but was overshadowed by Clive Nguru.
Nguru, who is likely to be given a tough run by junior golfer Ben-Follet Smith this season, was clearly the best player last year.
Nguru won virtually all the tournaments he took part in and went on to win the order of merit at the end of the season.
Competition is likely to be fierce this year with the arrival of exciting junior golfer Smith.
Smith made his presence felt when he won the Lowveld Pro-Am.
New kid on the block, Thembelani Vundla, will also be one to watch this season.
The Victoria Falls-based youngster has shown a lot of potential.
