Bulawayo’s 10-month armed robbery terror screeches to a halt- 8 suspected gangsters appear in court

A SUSPECTED gang of armed robbers is set to appear in court this afternoon, facing 10 counts of armed robberies committed in and around the city this year.

The eight-member gang comprises alleged illegal foreign currency dealers and self-employed individuals namely Elvis Charakupa 40, Khulumani Moyo 51, Mavrick Dube, 32, Mongameli Moyo aged 27, Nkosilomusi Dube 31, Conilias Chigara 24, Mabhena Qhawe and Vumani Msipa, 31.

The gang is alleged to have committed a spate of armed robberies from February to November this year.

They committed violent crimes using guns and other weapons, where they raided fueling stations and robbed motorists.
