SHODDY travel arrangements by Dynamos FC for their second leg of the Orange Caf Champions League preliminary round match against Mochudi Centre Chiefs have cost the team two days’ training, coach Callisto Pasuwa said last night.
The Zimbabwean champions travelled by road to Gaborone, Botswana last night, having left Harare around midday due to delays in getting a permit for their bus owned by Nyaradzo Funeral Services.
DeMbare’s travelling party which included 20 players, technical team and some officials had a brief stopover in Bulawayo for dinner before leaving around 8PM.
Pasuwa who is wary of their opponents said they will only have a light training session at the match venue tomorrow.
“We have lost two days of training because today was travelling day and tomorrow we were hoping to have a full training session later in the day but that is no longer possible. We left Harare late and now we are going to get to Gaborone between 4-5AM which means the players will need time to recover and we will only have light training later in the day,” said Pasuwa.
Dynamos carry what appears to be a healthy 3-0 lead but Pasuwa believes they need another goal to cushion their lead.
“They are not a bad side because they are tactically good and if you look, we scored the three goals in the last 45 minutes which means this is going to be an open game. We have to be cautious in our approach but that doesn’t mean that we must sit back and defend because we might crumble. We will also attack them and look for an early goal to kill the game.”
