Businessman commits suicide

his wife Thandiwe and her sister Nyarai Mwale were admitted to Parirenyatwa Hospital with several wounds on their bodies.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tadius Chibanda confirmed the incident.

“Mutizwa arrived home today (yesterday) at around 1am and was reportedly drunk,” he said. “He then woke up Nyarai Mwale and it is believed that he had once proposed to her a few days ago,” he said.

Nyarai had reportedly turned down the proposal.

Mutizwa’s wife tried to calm him, but he shouted back telling her that she should leave the house together with her sister, accusing them of being prostitutes.

Insp Chibanda said Mutizwa, who had two guns, produced a pistol and fired seven shots towards Nyarai.
