Busy year ahead for cricket

One of the most important tours for the Zimbabwe cricket team will be their tour  of New Zealand, which will start from January 26, as per the cricket fixture presented by the International Cricket Council, and adhered by cricket boards of both the countries, that is, the Zimbabwean Cricket and New Zealand Cricket.

In fact, this series is a followup series after  New Zealand’s tour to Zimbabwe during October, 2011.
The Zimbabwe v New Zealand 2012 is also the part of the Future Tour Programmes,  an innovative concept by the ICC, with the intention of promoting cricket throughout the world.
This bilateral contest between Zimbabwe and New Zealand will consist of Test match, One Day International Series and a couple of Twenty20 matches.

Zimbabwe’s tour of New Zealand will start with the first and only Test match at Napier from the January 26.
Zimbabwe, who are under the guidance of Briton Alan Butcher, are currently unranked in the Test format, and are  generally not known for exceptional Test performance.
On the other hand, the Black Caps will try and aim for a comprehensive Test win against the minnows.

After the completion of the Test match, both teams will battle it out in the 50 over version of the game.
New Zealand will be hosting a threematch One Day International series, from February 3, 2012.
The first match will be played in Dunedin on February 3. The second ODI will be held at Whangarei on February 6 while the last match will be held at Napier on February 9.

Zimbabwe will be expected to make an upset, as they have done previously with teams like India, West Indies and Australia.
On the other hand, New Zealand will not take the Zimbabweans lightly.

Once the Zimbabwe and New Zealand ODI series terminates, it will be time for fast paced, exhilarating brand of cricket  Twenty20.
Both the teams will be engaging in T20 action.

There will be two Twenty20 encounters, as per the cricket fixture.
The first T20 match will be played at Auckland on February 12 while the second one will be played at Hamilton on February 14.

The series is expected to provide viewers and audiences with some wonderful cricketing actions.
In the Zimbabwe v New Zealand Test match, it would be interesting to know who will be top spinner on this cricket pitch with  interesting fight between cricket bat and cricket ball. — Supercricket.
