BUZ focuses on young coaches

Federation (FIBA) expert, Ronald Owindo of Kenya is scheduled for February 16 to 25 and is targeting coaches below 35.
BUZ competition director, Simon Lawson, said the 10-day clinic will be focusing on developing coaches from schools.
“We are looking at people who are coaching in schools, mostly because of the age. This program is designed for those coaching players from 8 to 18years. Those from clubs can participate but you will find that the content is suitable for those coaching juniors.
“However, those from clubs can still benefit because some of these clubs are missing the fundamentals being taught at this age. They will be trained how to coach different age groups.
“Some of the coaches coaching at national level are coaching players who have been developed by others and they need to take part to develop their own products. Module two will be dealing with clubs,” said Lawson.
