Who said that ZimDancehall is just for the Harare and Chitungwiza individuals? Is it in view of the way that ZimDancehall craftsmen, for example, Killer T, Silent Killer and “Chibaba” Soul Jah Love originate from that point?
Well, that attitude has been put to test by Bulawayo-based artistes who have combined to shape a music video of the melody Hustle.
The Bulawayo artistes led by Sound Clan International were put on the spotlight after Jeftor Chakanaka who goes by the stage name Master Jeftaz, Smash Makerm, Volcanic, Mk, Micky Roleer and Pwanya came together and produced the song Hustle at Smashtainment in Cowdray Park.
Hustle music video was done by Dj Brooklyn in respect of the “Kushanda” Hustle tune which has transformed into a web sensation in and around Bulawayo. Talking on the music video, Master Jeftaz said the point of the video was to offer light to the general population of Bulawayo on how hard the melodic artistes work on their musical journey and urged music darlings to see the tune on You Tube.
“The main idea behind the Hustle music video is to encourage people who are in the music industry to keep on working hard for they will be rewarded one day.
“A lot of people think that it is easy to be popular in the music industry but that’s not the case,” he said.
He went on to say, “It is a tough journey with a lot of predicaments but one needs to stay focused and hustle hard hence we as the Bulawayo Zimdancehall artiste urge our fans to view and like our Hustle video on social media platforms such as YouTube, Sound cloud, Grasslands music and Facebook,”
Dj Brooklyn, the best music video producer in Bulawayo said he fell in love with the song Hustle the first time he heard it and that’s when he decided to shoot the video.
“When I heard the song Hustle, I just thought why not produce a music video for these young lads who are so talented and after thinking for a while I decided to shoot the video for them, the song is just so amazing and I encourage the guys to continue doing the great work,” he said.
Master Jeftaz said he is also working on the music video of his song Mukadzi Wamdara which will be dropped anytime soon.
