BULAWAYO CITY coach Bekithemba Ndlovu likened his team, which finished yesterday’s Castle Lager Premiership encounter with ten men at the National Sports Stadium, to someone in a comma.
Lot Chiunga scored his seventh goal of the season with a lovely 83rd minute strike that secured the game for Rhinos, who were put in front by Wellington Taderera’s 37th minute penalty.
Bulawayo City then had Admire Dzumbunu sent-off after picking a second yellow following a challenge on Taderera in stoppage time.
The incident told the whole story for the Bulawayo side that continues to reel in the relegation zone with 15 points from 21 matches.
“With our situation, we are like someone in a comma,” said Ndlovu.
“We need to talk to them to see the bigger picture. Now we need men, not boys, we need fighters.”
For Rhinos coach Herbert Maruwa, the win came as a relief as it halted a three-match winless streak.
“It was a good response from the boys after losing the last two games. Every game is like a final now because every team is playing for a reason so we need to work extra hard to get the points,” said Maruwa.
