A GROUP of 15 youths from Bulawayo’s Cowdray Park have released a single dedicated to President Mugabe titled Usadherere Bob @ 90.
The group, Garikai Hlalani Kuhle Chimurenga Crew, recorded the single at Ingwe Studios in Bulawayo. The catchy chorus goes: “Ndagara ndakuudza Usadherere Bobo!” (I have always told you not to underestimate Bob he is 90).
Group leader James Dendera said the single was done to thank the President for his sterling 34 years in power.

“We would like to thank the President for ruling all this while. But the biggest thank you is to God for preserving our leader for all these years.

“We know it was not by our will, but by God’s grace,” he said.
Dendera said they decided to release the track towards the Bob 90 Super Cup.

“People will be in the Bob 90 Cup fever and we wanted to seize the opportunity to come up with a song about him wishing him more years in office,” he said.

The Bob 90 Cup will see Highlanders “Tshilamoya” Football Club and Dynamos “DeMbare” Football Club clash at Rufaro Stadium in Harare on Sunday.

Dendera said the song which talks about the indigenisation policy was in support of the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (ZimAsset).

“We want to thank the President for endorsing ministers such as Professor Jonathan Moyo that are able to drive the indigenisation policy and ZimAsset. This shows how President Mugabe is a visionary leader,” he said.

Dendera said he had gone to radio stations to promote the single.
