Caf change referees

THE Confederation of African Football have reshuffled the referees to officiate in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match between Zimbabwe and Guinea scheduled for Rufaro on Sunday.

Meshack Medupi from Botswana, who was initially appointed as the first assistant referee, has been replaced by his countryman Bakwena Simankalele.

CAF wrote to all concerned parties and indicated that the change was technical.

“We would like to inform you that due to technical reasons, it was decided to replace Mr Mesack Medupi (Botswana) the initially designated (Assistant referee 1) of the said match by Bakwena Simankalele (Botswana),” wrote CAF.

The referees are expected in the country tomorrow.

The list of the referees to officiate the match are as follows.

Lekgotla Leonard Johannes, Referee, Botswana

Bakwena Simankalele, Assistant Referee 1, Botswana

Moemedi Monakwane, Assistant Referee 2, Botswana

Omphile Puthego, Reserve Referee ,Botswana
