said without a national airline the country would lose the opportunity to capitalise on the potential revenue.
“Strategies must be put in place now so that by next year the airline will be functional on a normal basis,” he said.
“Already other foreign airlines are reaping maximum benefits from the collapse of Air Zimbabwe,” he said.
Mr Fundira said people should have gained confidence in the airline by the time the conference is held.
“Government should come up with a plan, even if it means having a partner so be it, because we cannot be a country without a national airline,” he said.
He said the committee on infrastructural development should also ensure that airports and runways met international standards. — New Ziana.
