THEY were not in action yesterday but it’s difficult not to see that the result at Baobab was just what Scottland had dreamt about all week.
Dynamos’ win means the champions are now SEVEN points clear in the championship race.
And, they could stretch it to TEN points at Rufaro today.
A win over TelOne will give them a double digit lead before the other clubs plunge into battle this weekend.
If given a choice, TelOne coach, Saul Chaminuka, says he would have preferred to avoid his side’s opponents.
“A tough game given that our hosts are scoring as and when they please,” said Chaminuka.
“They are an opponent we wouldn’t have loved to play at this moment but on the other hand it is a good challenge to the boys.”
TelOne have fairly enjoyed playing away from home where they have picked 12 of their 17 points.
“We have played well away from home and this game brings with it a yardstick of where we are in our game in the two major playing situations; when we have the ball attacking and when we lose the ball.
“The good thing about this game is that every player wants to show how good they are.
“This is when you get the most in every player in areas not only of effort but game intelligence as well.
“One thing l know is we are ready for this one and the boys will not only be answering questions from our hosts but throwing questions as well,”
In the absence of the injured striker, Tawanda Macheke, TelOne will be banking on the experience of newly-signed winger Silas Songani.
They know they have a tough task against them playing against a club whose defence has not been breached for a number of games and with the best attacking combination in the league.
