HIGHLANDERS will be hoping that the arrival of one of the domestic Premiership’s leading hitmen, Never Rauzhi, will provide the goals which will power their second half campaign.
Bosso are looking for their first league championship in 18 years.
Rauzhi arrives from neighbours Bulawayo Chiefs.
“We would like to confirm that Never Rauzhi has joined the club on loan from Bulawayo Chiefs up to the end of the season.
“Welcome to iTeam yezwe lonke,” said Highlanders yesterday.
Bosso are still celebrating their impressive 2-0 win over bitter rivals Dynamos at Rufaro on Sunday.
Kelvin Kaindu’s men have completed back-to-back wins over their biggest rivals this season.
Meanwhile, Manica Diamonds defender, Lawrence Masibera, says they will give it their all to revive a seemingly fading title challenge.
They host TelOne in a Matchday 19 fixture at Sakubva this weekend.
At one stage Manica Diamonds won eight games in a row and even opened a gap at the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table.
However, they have managed just two wins in their last seven matches with the others being four draws and a defeat, which came away to Simba Bhora on Saturday.
In their last four games, they have managed three points out of the possible 12.
Manica Diamonds are now six points behind leaders FC Platinum.
“Come rain, come thunder, we are collecting maximum points in our Week 19 fixture,” said Masibera.
“A win is long overdue for us. We will be home and hungry for three points. We will bounce back in our next game without fail.
“We only need one win and we will be back in form and back on top as well.”
Jairos Tapera’s men last collected maximum points on Matchday 14 against Hwange.
Masibera said people should not count Manica Diamonds out of the title race due to their current form.
“We have been having our bad days. We are working tirelessly so that we bounce back to our winning ways. We are still in the race despite our rough patch.
“We will come back stronger.
“We have good players, with only a little bit of consistency, the league is ours. I have faith in the team.
“With hard work and determination, nothing is impossible.”
