CAPS United have had ten days to reflect and recover from the pain of conceding a last-gasp equaliser in their battle against Simba Bhora at Wadzanai.
The Green Machine were seconds from priceless three points, which would have kept them top of the table, but a fumble by ‘keeper Wallace Magalane meant they could only take a point.
Magalane was also at fault in the 2-2 draw against MWOS at Rufaro.
It means the ‘keeper has directly been responsible for four lost points, in the Green Machine’s last two league games.
But, such an analysis ignores the big shifts which Magalane has put in, since the season opened, to help CAPS United set the pace in the championship race. He remains a very good goalkeeper and very key to the Green Machine’s ambitions of ending their decade-long wait for the league championship.
To achieve that, they need to win matches like the one they will host at Rufaro today where they will take on FC Platinum.
CAPS United will be missing their coach, Takesure Chiragwi, who is in England with the Warriors.
Chiragwi has been a success in the first few months of his reign as the Green Machine coach.
In his absence, Zambian coach Ian Bakala will be in charge.
