CAPS United believe they will have a better and more exciting season next year.
Makepekepe survived relegation in the just-ended season by just five points.
The Green Machine’s biggest hurdle was largely the club’s financial woes, which saw players boycotting several training sessions, over unpaid dues.
They lost three players – Simbarashe Chinani, Clive Augusto and Dennis Dauda – after they were branded black sheep for leading a strike over non-payment of salaries.
CAPS United CEO, Charlie Jones, is aware of the task that awaits him to try and turn around the club’s fortunes.
“Like every club, we will be looking to refresh the squad,” said Jones.
“We have to be highly competitive and we want to reclaim our top place.
“We don’t want to be just pushovers, but we want to return to our glory days.
“We have to start strongly for us to be in a good place.
“We will look into our match preparedness, training facilities and a whole lot of details that need to be taken into account,” he said.
