media yesterday, is a former Warriors’ number one ‘keeper.
Msiska said his club, whose director Farai Jere donated US$5 000 this week to the Mzansi90 fund-raising drive, was fully behind the Warriors.
Jere is currently in the United States on business but his company, Helcraw Investments, emerged as one of the biggest private donors to the fund created to raise funds for the Warriors.
Msiska said the Warriors needed to grab their chance in Angola and qualify for their third Nations Cup finals.
“I just say to the fans, let’s rally behind the team and let’s support them so that we go there and hammer Angola,” said Msiska.
“It’s not going to be easy if we fly in different directions, so we have to work hard.”
Midfielder Tendai Samanja, who also addressed the media briefing, warned the Warriors against conceding an early goal in Luanda.
“They should work together and make sure that they do not concede early goals,” said Samanja.
Msiska said the break in Premiership action was a blessing in disguise for his side as it will help the Harare giants to fine-tune their attack ahead of the remainder of their campaign.
The Green Machine had begun to enjoy a fine run under Taurai Mangwiro as they stretched their unbeaten run to six matches under the new coaches.
Last Sunday, CAPS United featured in a goalless draw against Monomotapa in a league match at Rufaro.
But the PSL have suspended matches this weekend to allow the Warriors to prepare for the crucial African Cup of Nations’ final leg qualifier against Angola.
Msiska said he was confident that CAPS United will be able to maintain their rhythm after the break.
“I thought we were going to play some mid-week games but, anywhere, that was not the case.
“So I don’t think the break will affect us because we had four guys who were not playing, so we have to adjust and continue with our preparations,” said Msiska. In their match against Monomotapa, CAPS United could not use defender Hardlife Zvirekwi, Tendai Samanja, Asani Nhongo and David Rediyoni who were suspended as they were sitting on yellow cards.
“For the game against Monomotapa we had many chances while they had three chances.
“We did not take our chances but Monomotapa played so well and a draw was a fair result.
CAPS United are likely to face Mutare side Buffaloes in their next assignment, which is a Mbada Diamonds Cup quarter-final, and Msiska, a former Warriors’ goalkeeper, is taking a cautious approach ahead of the tie.
