Warriors caretaker coach Rahman Gumbo last week called a 24-member squad for the assignment in Bujumbura but has made a late addition to the team by bringing in Nyadombo.
The defender joined South African Premiership outfit Amazulu at the start of the 2010/2011 season along with former teammate Ramson Zhuwawo who is now suspended from national team matches.
Gumbo was thrust to hold the fort after the Zifa board suspended coach Norman Mapeza and his assistant Joey Antipas because they were fingered in the Asiagate report.
Gumbo will work with former Dynamos coach David Mandigora as his assistant coach while newly-appointed Under-23 coach Peter Ndlovu has also been called in to assist the Warriors technical department.
Dynamos executive committee member Nyika Chifamba is the team manager.
Zifa also issued a blanket ban on 96 players who took part in the matches in Asia and the Cecafa tournament in 2010 that are alleged to have been fixed by betting syndicates.
The local soccer mother body said those fingered in the Asiagate report have to clear their names with the Independent Ethics Committee, chaired by Justice Ahmed Ebrahim, before they could be considered again for national team duties.
Nyadombo, who is now playing for Amazulu in the South African Premiership, joins veteran goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini, who plays for the same team, in the Warriors squad.
Zifa communications manager Nicky Dhlamini revealed that the technical team is hoping that the players should all troop into camp on Monday.
“Nyadombo has now been drafted into the team and should be coming.
“Nothing yet has been finalised but according to the draft programme, the coach wants to have all players in camp by February 19.
“However, we are still to find out on the availability of the players as some players have matches (this weekend).
“But we are hopeful that those called up will be able to come,” said Dhlamini.
In calling up his players, Gumbo, who is returning to the Warriors after leaving the job eight years ago, has blended youth with experience.
He has called up Young Warriors players in George Chigova, Denver Mukamba, Archieford Gutu, Abbas Amidu while recalling veterans Esrom Nyandoro, Musa Mguni and Dickson Choto.
With Zambia’s sensational win at the Nations Cup finals still fresh in the minds of many, the Warriors need to get a positive result if they are to emulate Chipolopolo.
