Seven months were suspended on condition that she restitutes US$18 000 on or before May 31 while a further seven months were suspended on condition she performs 245 hours of community service at a Government institution.
Ms Patience Chimusaru prosecuted.
Hakata was among her duties responsible for keeping safe keys and the money.
The agreed facts are that sometime in February this year Hakata stole US$20 000 from the safe.
When Mrs Zvinavashe asked Hakata to give her some money that was in the safe she gave a lot of excuses and this prompted her to demand the safe keys from her.
Hakata gave Mrs Zvinavashe the keys and she checked the safe and found all the money gone.
Hakata converted the US$20 000 to her own use.
